Signal lamp

Compact and sturdy, this battery-operated signal lamp could be used in a variety of ways. It could be free standing, held in the hand, carried by its retractable handle, attached to a belt or securely fastened to other equipment.

Pressing the large button on the top allowed the lamp to flash on and off for sending Morse code. The top cover is removed by undoing two screws, giving access to the batteries and bulb. A variety of filters could be placed at the front of the lamp to change the colour of the light. The belt clip on the back is marked ‘LANTERN ELECTRIC TRAFFIC’.
