National Savings Stamp Book

The government introduced a National Savings Stamp scheme to encourage individuals to save, as well as to raise funds for the Treasury. Deposits could be made by buying savings stamps in sixpence or half-crown values (2½ pence and 12½ pence respectively in decimal currency).
